From 30 Oct to 2 Nov, at the second anniversary of Torch Innovation Precinct, UNSW held the " Torch Innovation Week " to showcase the results of Sino-Australian R&D cooperation. Kevin Chen was invited to attend the event.
Cheng Jingye, Chinese ambassador to Australia said that scientific breakthroughs have been made and collaboration programs have been deepen since two years ago the launch of Torch Innovation Precinct. The complementary collaboration between UNSW and Kohodo has prompted development in areas like science, trade, education, culture, etc.
During the event, Kohodo and UNSW signed the agreement on R&D of fuel cells in clean energy. Kevin Chen, GM of Kohodo Hydrogen Energy said that significant progress has been made since the Water Electrolysis Hydrogen Generation R&D agreement in 2016.
Ian Jacobs, the chancellor of UNSW said in an interview that Torch Innovation Precinct has major significance for the scientific and economic development of China and Australia, as well as shares progress within the world. The signed agreement will further uphold the development of renewable energy, creating a more environmental energy future.
